Salvation is often reduced to forgiveness of sins or escape from judgment, but Scripture reveals something far deeper. Salvation is not a divine reaction to human failure. It is a mystery hidden from the foundation of the world and unveiled in Christ. From the beginning, God’s purpose was not merely to rescue humanity, but to unite humanity to His Son. Through the cross and resurrection, salvation is revealed as participation in Christ’s death and life, not moral improvement or religious achievement. To be saved is to be placed into Christ Himself, where righteousness, sonship, and eternal life are received by faith alone. What was concealed in shadow throughout the Old Testament now stands fully revealed. Christ is not the one who makes salvation possible. He is salvation.
