Abraham walked by faith, receiving promises of land, descendants, and universal blessing that seemed impossible. His story is a gospel narrative in advance: he believed God and it was counted to him as righteousness—the same faith-based justification offered to all who trust in Christ, Abraham’s promised seed.

Joshua, whose name means ‘Yahweh saves,’ led Israel into the Promised Land after Moses could not. His life powerfully prefigures Jesus Christ, who bears the same name and accomplishes what the Law never could—leading His people into eternal rest and conquering all their enemies.
Isaac, the son of promise given and received back from the altar, serves as one of Scripture’s clearest types of Jesus Christ. The binding of Isaac on Mount Moriah foreshadows the Father giving His beloved Son, the Son’s willing sacrifice, and the resurrection that followed.
Aaron, Israel’s first high priest, established the sacrificial system that would continue for centuries. Yet his failures and mortality revealed the need for a greater High Priest. Christ fulfills and surpasses Aaron’s priesthood, offering Himself once for all and interceding for His people eternally.
